TTSD trainers team

The Table Tennis School The Hague has a trainers team that is passionately led by the highly experienced and proven successful Ronald Schildknegt, both nationally and internationally. 

Ronald was head coach of the Rijswijk/The Hague club Steeds Hoger/Tsb for more than 25 years, where he trained and coached many youth teams which played in the highest national leagues. Players such as Dobrila Jorguseska, Pepijn v.d. Hoeven, Collin Jager, Angelique Gertenbach, Stephan Tromer, Romy Vastenburg, Matthijs v.d. Heide, Sjoerd Vaders, Ernst Coutinho and Freddy Gan became well-known under his leadership.  

Ronald has trained the well-known top player Dobrila Jorguseska and top talent Rémi Chambet-Weil from the TTSD. Rémi has been following the top sports program of the TTSD with great success since 2015 under the leadership of Ronald.

Under Ronald's driven leadership and through his high-level training, 4 youth teams competed for the Dutch national title in the playoffs in the championship league:
2011, 4th place with Stephan Tromer, Joel Nelemans and Romy Vastenburg
2013, 3rd place with Angelique Gertenbach, Nolan Schultz, Max Koopman and Arjan Huiden
2014, 1st place (national title) with Nolan Schultz, Max Koopman and Arjan Huiden

Various players trained by Ronald have participated in the European Youth Championships: Collin Jager, Angelique Gertenbach, Dobrila Jorguseska, Tanya Misconi and Rémi Chambet-Weil.

Ronald has many connections abroad with top coaches, top clubs and with organising committee's of international youth tournaments. Every year, he is active with top talents at various strong foreign youth tournaments in Northern France, where he provides guidance and coaching. He also has experience as a coach at the Euro Mini Champs (photo), the unofficial European championship for youth aged 9 to 12.

On the world stage, Ronald knows exactly the optimal route for every top talent at the WTT tournaments. This culminated in Ronald-trained and coached Rémi Chambet-Weil winning the WTT tournament of Cuenca (Ecuador) in 2023. In his final year in the youth category (2024), Rémi reached 39th place in the under-19 (WTT) world ranking and 13th place in Europe.
